Vire Aesthetics is the first and only nurse-led Healthcare improvement registered clinic in Shetland. The clinic and practitioners are fully registered and regulated to carry out aesthetic and medical procedures. 

I graduated from the Robert Gordon Uniervsity in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science Nursing Degree. I started out my Nursing career 14 years ago as a Scrub and Anesthetic Nurse in Theatres where I worked for 8 years. At the same time I worked as a Sexual Health Nurse. I have continually studied and gained different experiences throughout my career. 

I became an Advanced Practitioner 5 years ago after completing my Post Graduate Diploma in Advanced Practice from the University of the Highlands and Islands. Becoming an Advanced Practitioner and independent prescriber has enabled me to safely and effectively do clinical assessments, diagnose, prescribe, and formulate treatment plans for patients. 

The side of nursing I enjoy most is seeing someone feel better, whether that is their physical or mental health, and behind able to support them on that journey. 

My Aesthetics journey started in 2021 and I have loved every minute of learning new skills and making treatments more accessible to the community in Shetland. 

Patient safety is the clinic’s number one priority. My clinical nursing skills are a great benefit to safely and effectively delivering all treatments to the highest standard. 

Ashleigh is a fully-insured independent nurse prescriber. As a member of the British Association of Medical Aesthetic Nurses (BAMAN) you can be confident that you are receiving treatments for a highly-qualified, trained, and experienced nurse.
